Over the years, Denyse Schmidt Quilts has donated many quilts and other items for fundraising auctions to benefit organizations we believe in.
In 2008, Denyse began ending her Improvisational Patchwork classes with a plea. She asked students to leave behind one quilt square made in that day’s class. The plan was for the quilt blocks to be sew together and the finished quilt donated to a charity. The Bridgeport Rescue Mission was the happy recipient of the first workshop quilt. More workshop quilts for charity are in the works—take a class and get involved!
We’re very grateful to be able to do what we do. Thank you to all of you who supported us in our first decade and continue to support us now.
