Spend a convivial day with Denyse and Richard and start your own version of her best-selling Single Girl pattern! In this Valentine's month, how about celebrating your love for creativity? (Let's face it - that love affair will last longer than romance, guaranteed!) Bypass the repetitive (read tedious) tracing and cutting of dozens of pattern pieces, and transform the patchwork process into an in-the-moment creative flow. We will teach you a simple technique, which will have you stitching up Single Girl blocks quickly and easily, and even change your perspective about any quilt pattern! You’ll receive hands-on guidance and instruction in creating your Free-Wheeling Single Girl, including options for overall composition and finishing your project on your own.
$450 includes tuition and all materials, lunch, healthy snacks, goodie bag, champagne toast! This is a one-day workshop. Class size is limited to 10, so register early! You will take home 2 to 4 completed blocks in this workshop (more if you're a speedy stitcher), and all the fabric and inspiration you need to complete your project!
If the workshop is full, the date will not appear in the drop down menu below. Email us to be added to the wait list for any date.

What We Provide
Pretty much everything! First things first: you'll get some delicious breakfast treats (baked with love by Denyse herself), a scrumptious lunch, healthy snacks, beverages, and a champagne toast to you!
Your $450 registration fee includes a Fat-Quarter Bundle of Denyse's Washington Depot fabric collection, and enough yardage for the background (FreeSpirit Licorice), backing (our choice), and binding to complete a twin size Free-Wheeling Single Girl! We'll also provide all your tools and equipment so you can travel light: sewing machine, thread, rotary cutter, and cutting mat, pattern and templates. If you plan on making a larger size or want to choose a different background color, let us know and we'll make the adjustment (additional fees may apply).
What You Need to Bring
Nothing! Unless you want to use fabric other than Washington Depot for your Single Girl rings. If so, you'll need a total of about 2-3 yards. If you prefer to bring your own sewing machine and tools, please feel free to do so – just let us know in advance and plan to arrive one-half hour early to set up your machine.
Whether you are traveling from afar or from just down the road, we've put together some information [pdf] to make getting here easier, and to help you plan an entire weekend in the area.
